Admission to the BSc in IT programme is majorly based on the merit system, which means, candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria for BSc IT are eligible to participate in the counselling process of the college based on the merit list.

However, some colleges such as Amity University, Galgotias University, Lovely Professional University, Graphic Era University, etc., offer admissions based on the CUET-UG score.

Here are some of the important documents you must carry during the BSc IT admission process:

  • Class 10 and 12 Marksheet
  • School Transfer Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Entrance Exam Score
  • Valid ID Proof (Adhaar, PAN Card, Passport, etc.)
  • Passport-sized photographs

This relies on several variables. Based on education, BSc IT is superior to BTech IT since it can be completed in three years. If you start a job directly after finishing your studies, you will be paid more than a regular BTech student in their fourth year.

The BSc IT curriculum is also in line with what businesses need. The drawback is that a BTech IT fresher will receive higher compensation than a BSc IT rookie based on the wider exposure to candidates in the BTech course curriculum. 

Remote learning for BSc IT is available in India. Sikkim Manipal University and IMTS Noida are two institutions that provide the same. IGNOU is a significant centre for distance learning, but they don't provide BSc IT. Distance learning is a great opportunity for those who wish to pursue this course from the comfort of their homes or are unable to pursue a full-time degree due to various issues.

They have to submit assignments timely must attend contact classes and appear for the term-end examinations in order to successfully pass this course.
